In order to form each piece, two individual smaller pieces of glass are fused together at the mid-point using a standard industrial strength glass epoxy.
The epoxy does not set clear and is visible when looking top-down through the vase. However, when used normally as a centerpiece or floral arrangement piece, the epoxy is not noticeable at a standard viewing angle.
